Please read this document thoroughly before submitting your application.
A complete application and ST19 forms are required to be considered for admittance to Hairy Mosquito Trading Company Events. Both are available for download at the end of this document.
Our events are curated. All of our events are curated to include ONLY handcrafted artisan works and wares.
No MLM marketing.
The ONLY exception is a flea market style event. (ex. Swap Meet during the Bloodsucker’s Bash)
Vendor Expectations
All Vendors selling food products must have a MN Dept of Health License or MN Dept of Agriculture Mobile Food Handling
License and comply with all requirements provided by their licensing agency.
Ice cream vendors will not be allowed, as this is in direct competition with the Hairy Mosquito Trading Company.
Adherence to Regulations
Artists and Vendors must operate in full compliance with all local and state laws, including MN Sales Tax, Health, and Agriculture Department regulations, as well as Mille Lacs County Ordinances.
Sales Tax Requirements (Form ST19) required for EACH event.
Minnesota law requires all event operators to have a completed Form ST19 (Operator Certificate of Compliance) on file for every vendor before the event begins. We cannot assign your booth space until this form is received.
Violations
Please be aware that any violation of these rules or providing false information on your application may result in: Immediate closure of your exhibit space for the remainder of the event. Permanent disqualification from all future events hosted by The Hairy Mosquito Trading Company.
You can now pay and reserve your event spaces online! Everything you need is below. Download and fill out a single event application. Sign your application to acknowledge Rules & Regs. Download and fill out one ST19 form for EACH event you're attending. Submit event application and ST19 form(s) to [email protected].
Then....
Visit the Booth Fee listing. Select SINGLE or DOUBLE for each event choice. Enter YES in required fields only after complete. Only one event application is required. An ST19 form must be submitted for EACH event. Add the event to your cart. You must add each event to your cart separately. Checkout will be one transaction. Vendor Expectations
- Commitment: Events are held rain or shine. Please come prepared for the elements!
- Reliability: To ensure a great experience for our guests, booths must be set up on time and remain open until the event concludes. Please note that arriving late or packing up early may disqualify you from future shows.
- Professionalism: Please keep all sales activities within your designated space. Hawking or soliciting in the aisles is not permitted.
- Pricing: $60.00 for the first space; $30.00 for each additional adjacent space.
- Refund Policy: All fees are strictly non-refundable, as they directly fund event promotion and marketing.
- Transferability: Spaces are non-transferable. Artists and vendors may not sell or sublet any portion of their assigned area.
- Standard Size: 14’ x 14’ (designed to accommodate 10' to 13' canopies with additional foot traffic space).
- Specialty Size: 10’ x 20’ spaces are available exclusively during the Bloodsuckers Bash Car, Truck & Bike Show for swap-meet trailers.
- Equipment: Canopies must be weighted/secured for both grass and hard surfaces.
- Placement: Space locations are assigned at the organizer's discretion; specific location preferences cannot be guaranteed.
- Parking Policy: Booth spaces are for merchandise sales only—no vehicles or trailers allowed. Need an exception? Contact us in advance for approval.
- Timing: Setup begins at 8:00 AM on event days. Early access is by prior approval only; please contact us to request an exception.
- Access & Traffic: To ensure guest safety, all vehicles must be unloaded and moved to designated parking areas by 10:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Vehicles may not return to the exhibit area until after the official closing time each day.
- Clearance: Displays must not obstruct doorways, walkways, signage, or any Hairy Mosquito Trading Co. sales and merchandise areas.
- Display Materials: Vendors are responsible for providing all necessary equipment, including tables, chairs, canopies, and weather protection (rain/sun).
- Security & Liability: Each vendor is responsible for their own security measures, including overnight protection of goods. All liability for merchandise and setup remains with the Artist/Vendor.
- Standard booths do not include electricity.
- We have only two powered locations, which are prioritized for our Food Vendors. If you have a specific need for power, please contact us at least 14 days before the event, and we will check for availability. We can’t guarantee a spot, but we’ll certainly try our best to help you out.
- Any noise generating mechanical or electromechanical device(s) that produces sound levels that cause difficulty for Artists/Vendors and attendees to communicate in a reasonable manner.
- Generators are permitted but may affect your booth placement.
- Attention will also be paid to exhaust or smoke producing equipment or devices and its effect on nearby Artists/Vendors and/or their products. The Hairy Mosquito Trading Company staff and the officials will have final say on what is acceptable.
